Food quality and safety

The management of food quality and safety is carried out from start to finish, from sourcing raw materials to producing and despatching finished products.
Listing
-strict supplier selection procedure.
-each raw material listed after analysis and approval by the regulatory and food safety bodies.
Production/Despatch
-monitoring plans to ensure products are in compliance with regulatory and food safety standards
-measures to ensure the management of foreign bodies, allergens, contaminants and of hygiene (sieves, magnets, metal detectors, testing, preventative maintenance…)
-controls in place all through the production process (weighing, finished products, scheduling…)
-verification of conformity to customers’ specifications (analyses, timings…)
-controlling order supply (product listings, labelling, quantity).

 

Personal safety

EUROGERM is constantly striving to optimise and strengthen the organisation and ways of managing risks and improving working conditions.  
Training and awareness
- making staff aware of risk prevention from the moment they join the company
-annual training on hygiene and hazards.
-Manual handling and posture training, workplace first aid representative.
Prevention
-annual plan for the improvement of risk situations such as handling of forklifts and access platforms
-work-station rotation to avoid repetitive movements
-employee protection (vacuuming away dust, assistance with handling the robot palletiser, lifting tables…)
The HSSE manager has a systematic preventative process in place and guarantees the effectiveness of risk assessments and employee safety evaluations.

Security of property and people

EUROGERM has put in place a variety of different actions aimed at ensuring overall safety and security. The members of the Food Defence - Security team have assessed levels of vulnerability, taking into account access to the different zones on site, what current measures are available, circulation flows of people, products and information.
